1. What “installation included” means
For products showing installation included, HomeVelvet coordinates the applicable installation service as part of the listed product price. The exact installation process can vary by product, manufacturer, delivery method and site conditions.
2. Product-specific requirements come first
Always review the product page and manufacturer documentation. A resin shed, wood kit, metal shed, greenhouse or larger building may have different requirements for the base, anchoring, assembly sequence and clearances.
3. Prepare the installation area
The intended location should be clear of furniture, vehicles, waste, construction materials and other obstacles. The work area should be large enough for the building and for installers to safely work around it.
4. Foundation or base
Some products require a particular base or foundation. The requirement may be concrete, compacted gravel, a wood platform or another manufacturer-approved system. Do not assume that every product can be installed directly on soil or grass.
5. Level and drainage
A level location helps doors, wall panels and roofs align correctly. The site should also allow water to drain away from the structure rather than collecting around the base.
6. Delivery path and access
Review the path from the street or driveway to the installation area. Check gate width, turns, slopes, steps, fences, trees, branches, overhead wires, HVAC equipment and any other obstacles that could affect delivery or installation.
7. Utilities
Customers are responsible for identifying visible and hidden utility concerns at the intended site, including underground lines, irrigation, electrical service, gas lines, septic components and overhead wires. Do not place a structure where it would block required utility access.
8. Permits, zoning and HOA rules
Outdoor structures can be subject to city, county, zoning, setback, permit or homeowners-association requirements. These rules vary by location. Unless HomeVelvet specifically confirms otherwise in writing for an order, customers should verify the requirements that apply to their property.
9. Scheduling
Installation scheduling may depend on product availability, delivery status, site readiness, weather and installer availability. Keep your phone and email information current so scheduling messages are not missed.
10. Weather
Unsafe weather or ground conditions may require installation to be rescheduled. This can include severe rain, high winds, storms or other conditions that make delivery or assembly unsafe.
11. Changes after ordering
If your installation location, access path or site conditions change after ordering, contact HomeVelvet before delivery. A material change can affect whether the planned delivery or installation can proceed.
12. After installation
Review the structure, doors, windows and visible components after installation. Follow the manufacturer’s maintenance, anchoring and care instructions to protect the product and any applicable warranty coverage.
